Honestly I hadn’t really thought about it, but the company that makes the ring my fi wants offers free engraving. No I really like the idea but am not sure what to get it engraved with. We have a thing for dr suess quotes, but I don’t think anything like that would fit. Any ideas?

What about your wedding date? If he ever forgets, he can just check the inside of his band!

@kl1987: I agree with going for the date of your wedding. Maybe both of your initials too?

Our song is “Hold On” by Michael Bublé. I had “Hold On” engraved in my husbands ring. I liked the multiple meanings.

I engraved “JFS to NJA” my initials to his. I was inspired by my great grandmothers wedding band, and did the same on my husbands.

@kl1987: do you have a favourite quote? could you engrave the first letter of each word YOLO, WWJD, NIMBY style?
I’m probably going to engrave either our first dance song (if it will fit) Love Will Keep Us Alive or my nickname for him.

I love the idea of something very personal engraved. If Dr. Seuss is your thing, I would do part of a quote, or modify a quote like : “The places we’ll go” or “The answers are simple” or “truer than true” or “today is our day”.

Can you ask him? He might really have a preference. My husband just wanted my first name – sweet and simple – so we each have each other’s names inside our rings.
