I am counting my macros (calculated for cutting), training for a half marathon (less than 4 weeks away!), and strength training! I am already in pretty good shape (ran a 10 miler this spring) and don’t really need to lose weight (size 4) but want to lower my body fat percentage so I look bangin in my dress, and generally in my daily life lol. My Fiance did P90X in college and got RIPPED! I’ve been subtley suggesting he start it up again, but his work schedule is insane, so it hasn’t happened. I took some 30 Day Shred classes at my gym and they were great workouts!

xstitchgal75:  Mostly I’m just walking a ton. Like 20,000 steps per day. I was running and doing Tracy Anderson videos but kinda burnt out on that. The best workout is the one you can stick to 🙂

I’m also quitting sugar for September, so hoping that helps me drop a couple lbs. I’ve lost 15 since January and want to lose another 10-15 by the end of the year.

You go girl! I was an athlete through grad and undergrad. I’m really struggling with the idea that I can’t work out as a full time job and eat whatever, whenever I want. I’ve been snacking healthier, alternating between running or jump rope a few times a week and trying to limit my carb intake. I’ll look into the programs you mentioned above.

I am monitoring my diet through My Fitness Pal and doing a minimum of 30 minutes cardio 5 times a week. I plan to add strength training eventually.

21 DAY FIX!

I got a gym package

I tried P90x

I tried just dieting

I tried jucing

I have tried about everything and I am telling you 21 day fix is amazing!!

It is easy to follow, workouts are in home and only 30 mins, meal plan is easy to follow and you actually eat a LOT of food..

I lost 14lbs in 2 rounds and 17 inches!!!

I did 21 day fix meal plan and workouts (with Shakeology) to get in shape for my wedding and currently still do it now 🙂  I LOVE it!

I was so stressed in the three months leading up to our wedding that I dropped weight without trying. I was working full time shift work, we had a short engagement and I was so stressed out that I was nauseated at the idea of food. I survived off nervous energy, white wine and caffeine. I had to have my dress taken in three times in 3 months. I wasn’t trying to loose weight and this definitely wasn’t a healthy way to do it, but it just happened. The only exercise I did in this time period was push ups and squats before I went to bed to work off some excess energy!!

The max I should lose is another 15lbs or else I am going to end up stick skinny like I was in high school. I’m focusing on eating healthy and walking about 15 mins a day. So far I lost about 4lbs in the last month but it might be losing water weight/bloating. Been eating A LOT more veggies than I had in the past few years. I still have a year left to lose that 15lbs. I’m sooo tired after work even though I sit in an office so I have a hard time doing anything other than a walk.

IIFYM (google it) and don’t be afraid of the free weights section of the gym. Lifting has done more for my body than cardio ever has.

I’m trying to lose weight but since going to the gym I’ve actually gained weight. im eating better, and I’m working out but all I do is gain. The redeeming part of this is that I appear to be gaining muscle (lol my lady doctor told me im “muscular” last week and asked what I’m doing to keep my figure since I work at a bakery, but considering where he was looking I was unsure how to take it) – I was always in the 130 area and now I’m in the 140 area. Idk what to do.

I did p90x, insanity, max 30 and other Beachbody programs and ate healthy. I made it a lifestyle change and didn’t deprive myself. I made healthy alternatives to my favorite treats. I lost 50 pounds and have maintained that.  My husband and I have vowed to stay healthy and not gain weight back in our marriage. I was in the best shape of my life on my wedding day. You can do it, fellow bees!!

themoonofhislife:  take measurements and pictures and throw out that scale. Because you are gaining ,uncle could be the reason for it going up. Or water retention if you aren’t drinking enough water. If you are eating healthy and not cheating every night then i wouldn’t be too worried about it. Pay attention to how your clothes are fitting too.

j9marie:  I am doing something similar to you too… I try to work out at least 4 times a week and I track my calories through my fitness pal.. it keeps me in line.. I dont like it when the calories are in the red!

themoonofhislife:  muscle weighs more then fat girl so you are probably just toning yourself up really well so dont dwell on the amount the scale says 🙂

My problem is my fiance can eat whatever he wants and not gain an ounce and the only meal we eat together is dinner usually and he always wants something that isnt considered healthy. So I try to just eat a little bit during the day and then eat with him what hes eating for dinner but manage my portions. Does anyone else have this issue?
