Three hours a week and you can still get unemployment, they just deduct what you’ve been paid from the unemployment. File for unemployment first thing Tuesday or tonight if you have time. Whatever her financial issue is isn’t your issue, that’s between her and the unemployment people. Sorry lady, that sucks.

Absolutely positively file for unemployment. You deserve that money. Also, most states unemployment offices have resources to help you spruce up your resume and find a new job. I’m so sorry this happened to you.

I am from the bay area as well. File anyways. ASAP. You should still be elgible for benefits, even if you only work 3 hours a week. I don’t think unemployment insurance is optional. Ask a unemployment rep about the situation.

Sorry OP!

Don’t let them screw you over. Do what pps have suggested. Good luck! Hope you find a new job soon!
