I actually just had a Bridesmaid or Best Man ask me how I felt about that (my shower is next weekend). My Future Mother-In-Law is super easy-going, she’d probably laugh! Same with my mom. There won’t be any grandmas there so I’m good to go!

Heck no.  Granted she’s 80 years old so you would think she’d be very old fashioned.  But she laughed.  I know she told Fiance that she felt weird buying it for me, so she didn’t.  I got all of them from my mom and my mom’s best friend.

I would not have cared about it in front of my Mother-In-Law, but my grandma and great aunt? That’s a different story, lol. My “bridal” shower was only for household items. My MOHs were supposed to throw me a smaller bridal shower specifically for lingerie, but it didn’t happen.

I didn’t get lingerie, but my mother got me a bunch of other items like games and books and edible undies. I wasn’t embarrassed at all. It was so much fun! My FI’s 90 year old grandma was there, and even she laughed. I think it depends on your family. My FI’s is old fashioned where as mine isn’t, and my mother figured if anyone was offended they could leave. No one left and veryone was laughing 🙂

It would not bother me a bit in front of Future Mother-In-Law but in front of my mother and her friends…well, I’d just die! My first shower is in 3 weeks and it’s mostly my mom’s friends from back home so I’m praying there will be no lingerie there!

Considering my Future Mother-In-Law had no qualms about asking me whether my boobs were real within the first year she met me…no it actually wouldn’t be awkward if she were there lol. I don’t think I have to worry about that though, I’m pretty sure the only lingerie gifts will be at my bacheloretty party.

My Future Mother-In-Law and my mother both got me lingerie.  My Future Mother-In-Law got me a very modest silk nightgown with a matching robe.  She is very conservative when it comes to that sort of a thing.  My mother on the other hand went to VS and got my a very risque black lace piece.  I wasn’t embarassed at all though, but thats just me.
