you are not being selfish at all in my opinion. I would NOT want to live with one of my SIL’s. They are lovely girls, but an engaged or married couple needs privacy. Fiance always jokes that if we let one of his sisters move in with us, they might not be in the bridal party by the time our wedding day arrives. In fact, I wouldn’t even want to live with my own siblings, or anyone in my family. That’s why I moved away from home! I would bring it up if he won’t. Give her a time that she should be gone by..but do it nicely. Explain that you feel like you need your privacy and that you want to start your life together as a married couple; not a married couple living with an In law.

You can start this conversation when they’re both in the same room? Do it nicely and calm.

So what is his plan exactly? to live with his sister forever? I think its a bit silly that he isto scared to ask her to leave. its gotta be done. He is getting married and she should understand that
