Hi, everyone! This is my first post, although I have been lurking awhile and getting some ideas. I am getting married to the love of my life at the courthouse on Friday, with my parents and his kids and brother there! We are then going to our apartment for cake and punch.
I just wanted to thank all the Bees who showed me that it is not only OK, but even cool, to make even the smallest wedding special with a specially ordered cake, pretty punch, and even favor bags.
Good luck with your own wedding planning!

@Whovian_1972: Congratulations in advance! My Father-In-Law just got married at the courthouse in December. He called us three days beforehand and told us to meet them there to be witnesses, and afterward we all went out to lunch to celebrate. It was wonderful!

Of course it is! The anniversary of our courthouse wedding is coming up at the end of the month and even though we couldn’t get all our friends/family there it was an amazing day.
Congrats to you and have fun!

@mindy_pindy: Thanks! I think it will be wonderful, and we can do things just how we like. We have both been married before, so we definetely did not want to go tradional anyway. As it is, we are getting married in March, and my favorite color is green, so we are have a cake with green decorative icing, green candies on the table, my dress is green, and my ring has a green peridot! So, that part is very special to me! Also, I love how low key the whole planning process has been, and how inexpensive. I would say if anyone is thinking of having a small wedding, go for it!
