Not sure what your current situation is, but are you planning to go on hormonal birth control?  Maybe the pill could clear it up before the wedding.

I tried proactive and it burned my face. I used AcneFree and it worked…. for a little while. I don’t know if they changed their formula or what, but it seriously didn’t do anything for me after about 3-4 months.

I am currently on a tea tree oil regimine (A soap, a toner & a serum)

Everything in it is natural, and I get it off of Etsy from a store called HaloSoap.

I’ve had great results on it. I still get one or two pimples here and there (Mostly on my chin for some reason), but for the most part, my face has cleared up 110%.

Edited because of past poster: I used the Cetaphil antibacterial bar & lotion and I saw 0 improvement. May work for some, but it didn’t work for me. The lotion is nice, though. I still use it.

I never had acne until I went off birth control 6 months before our wedding…and all of a sudden, I had acne.  Two months before our wedding, I ordered Proactiv, used it religiously and had perfectly clear skin on my wedding day.  I HIGHLY recommend it.

Bioderma. It has changed my skin in so many ways, I speak volumes about them and have got many friends to start using their products.

I use the Bioderma Sebium H20 line. The cleanser was originally meant as a makeup remover but customers started to get such great results from it for their acne. The whole line has been a life saver! My skin is sooo much clearer, with the occasional breakout during the time of the month, and thats it. I highly recommend it!!

I hear going for facials help. You need to keep up a regimen and not just go once before the wedding.

Daniel Kern’s Acne.org products worked amazing for me.  It’s on the expensive side, but I started it about 5 months before my wedding and I didn’t have a single pimple come my wedding day.

I can’t recommend it enough.  http://www.danielkern.com/

Have you been to see a dermatologist? They’re usually covered by health insurance.  The best stuff is prescription only.  Even if you don’t have “the worst” acne, a dermatologist can still prescribe you stuff.  (Plus, if you have prescription coverage, it ends up being cheaper than over-the-counter stuff.)

Facials and retin A…

I have stupid adult onset acne. It’s so bad that sometimes I’m embarrased to leave the house 🙁 I went to the dermatologist and they prescribed: spironolactone and retin a… Im still in the purging stage but I can tell its doing something. I have- like you- really deep pimples. Anytime I went for a facial my esthetician would comment on it.

Completely agree about seeing a dermatologist, or even your GP. I have a similar situation with my skin, and prescriptions have been the only thing that work.

@silkspectre94:  Definitely! Tell them you’ve got your wedding coming up and you want something that will definitely work.  I would say that you’ve tried over-the-counter stuff and it’s just not working.  I couldn’t get rid of my acne with anything until I finally saw a doctor.
