Everything is pretty much done. We just need to decide if we’re going to do pies or get a cake ordered. My makeup/hair trial is next month. We are meeting our officiant in person in the next week. We’re having a small wedding and I’m good with spreadsheets and planning in general. It has been pretty easy.

We might be married in Aug, possibly Sept.

After a few months of research we decided we’d rather spend the money on a nice honeymoon and a vacation with our kids (not the honeymoon lol), and some other goals we have (renovations on our house bc we plan to buy a new house in a few years)

So, we are doing a small family only wedding that will have maybe 10-12 people. Dinner at a nice restaurant after.

We are getting married at this lake near our house that is important to us 🙂

That is definitely a lot more people (we’re inviting 45), but at least you’re organized! I sent STDCs last week so that folks would have 6 months+ notice (Aug. 4, 2019) and most of my side has to travel from out of state. I used Minted’s pre-addressed option which saved a lot of hassle.

I think the next wave of ‘work’ will be sending out invitations in early May. I’m hoping some guests will send regrets to the STDCs so there will be fewer invitation suites to send. Then I can do fun stuff like ordering stuff for the tables, escort cards, favors, etc as RSVPs come in. It will be here before you know it!

We have an intimate (35pp) wedding and then a large (150+) Indian wedding. I’m only doing the planning for the small wedding, as my mum is a control-freak for the Indian wedding. For our small wedding, we have the venue “booked” (family backyard), caterer booked, florist booked, officiant booked, makeup/hair booked, dress bought, rentals list made (will be confirming in March), we are foregoing a DJ and just doing our own playlists, and I have most of the decor done already. We are doing e-invites and no save-the-dates, as we are close to everyone attending and they have been told the date already. We are booking the honeymoon in a few months.

Honestly none of it has been stressful at all, apart from dealing with my parents. So as long as I limit my contact with them, then I’m not stressed about the wedding.

We are getting married at the beginning of August, so far we have booked our venue/catering, band, photobooth (its a vintage VW bus turned into a photobooth I think I am most excited about that – right after marrying the man of the dreams of course!), sent out the save the dates, picked out bridesmaid dresses, I ordered my dress, booked the hair and beauty portion for the big day, I think thats it so far! Next on the list is getting the dresses ordered for bridesmaids and picking out the guys clothes. I also haven’t met with a florist yet. We are ordering bulk flowers from costco for the centerpieces but my bouquet and the bridesmaids will be done by a professional. We have a very small wedding party – just our kids. Our wedding on the other hand ended up being a lot bigger than we thought – around 250 people invited so I’m kind of freaking about that!

I’m going to have to look into minted – having the invites already addressed sounds amazing!

We’re getting married in early August, and here’s what we’ve got done for our 30 person destination wedding in Asheville, NC…

-Booked the ceremony venue (all inclusive, so it includes photography/officiant/cake/etc)

-Booked the “reception” (the upper level of our favorite restaurant)

-Sent invitations, which is probably a huge no-no but since we’re only having a 6 month engagement and it’s literally all family, eh, they don’t care

-Bought a dress

-Got my wedding band

-Made the wedding website

Things we still need to do…

-Formally book hair and makeup (trying to decide if I want a trial)

-Find FI’s SS card (sigh)

-Buy favors (bottles of wine with custom labels)

-Book an Airbnb/VRBO

-Plan the rehearsal dinner (I’m washing my hands of it, ha, it’s all him)

-Buy FI’s wedding band (it’s picked out)

-Write vows

-Get our license (we’ll be going up there for the 4th of July weekend, so we’ll get it then)

-Try not to let people’s opinions drive me batty

4 months to go. I’m approving the proofs of the wedding invitations today. Had my hair & makeup trial. Checked in with the restaurant/reception.

We plan to send out invites in the next 3-4 weeks as most of my side has to travel across the country. I’m so curious to see the RSVPs!
