- Wedding: August 2014
I am not sure where this should be posted. I was just wondering how hard it is to get someone to actually marry you on a “holiday”. I put “” marks because I don’t exactly consider the holiday we are considering a holiday per se, like Christmas or Easter, but more so it is just another day off and for people to party way to much.
Anyway, the “holiday” in question is New Years. We are considering either the 31st or the 1st, possibly the 31st/1st at midnight, and I was just wondering how many people had been married ont his date. I am sure that it is a great number, lots of people wanting to start the new year off married and such. I know there are mass weddings sometimes on these “holidays” but of course that is not what I am looking for. Fiance and I are considering just an “elopement” to the Smoky mountains and I would like to know, before I start asking a whole bunch of these chapels if they will marry us these dates if anyone else has done this already.
Also, if you can recommend a great place in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge to do so I would grealt appreciate it.
