We finally set a date tonight after being engaged for nearly five months and decided on our shared birthday! We had originally planned to marry in October but our house that is being built won’t be ready in time for us to marry there so toyed with a few random dates but when I mentioned our birthday falls on a Saturday he loved it so alas we’ll now share both a birthday and anniversary ๐ Anyone else have a shared birthday with your S.O. or get married on your birthday?

ou.boomer.sooner.girl: that is awesome. Mine is not on my birthday but it was close to being the day before. My birthday is on the 27th and i was going to pick the 26 but changed my mind. Well my Fiance bday is on the 14 and mine on the 27 and our wedding is the 19th so does our combined birthday month count? I was totally gonna make a birthday announced at midnight on my wedding lol

ou.boomer.sooner.girl: My cousin got married on her birthday.
I remember, back when I married the first time, a lady at church told me not to marry in May because that was my birthday month and Mother’s day is then as well and I would get a combined present every year. We did anyway and I never had any issues with it.
We are getting married near my birthday but I know my current Fiance will not do it either because he knows better…LOL!

catchyscreenname: I’ve warned him I better get two gifts or start getting a gift for Robin Day! His response? Ditto! Good thing is we’ll never forget our anniversary!
PS we already set up individual Robin Day and Ryan Day so we could have a day all about us but didn’t share gifts except on our birthday. That might change haha

I had some classmates do this and they loved it, it was very special for them. But I know I couldn’t do it because I love spreading out holidays (and all the celebration that goes along with them) way too much.

ou.boomer.sooner.girl: LOL! Yeah it probably will, especially if you have children.
TheGridMonster: My Fiance wanted to get married on his b-day so he could remember but I like to spread them out as well. Unfortunately, growing up, my parents and younger brother’s birthdays were in April and mine in May. But I guess I should not say unfortunately because my mom always made sure that our birthday was a special day and all about us. She still tries even at 35 and 28.

ou.boomer.sooner.girl: We’re getting married on my 30th birthday! I’ve always thought I’d be married before I hit my 30’s so this is why we chose it as our wedding date. I can’t think of a better present than marrying the love of my life! ๐

TheGridMonster: That is very cool! I’d thought about that too but we share a birthday already and we’ll share an anniversary so eh, why not make it all the same day ๐
gelaine22: So if your husband forgot your anniversary or your birthday he’d be in big trouble haha!
MissRustic: I was thinking the same thing! What a great way to say I love you and I do by giving your spouse a lifetime commitment as a birthday gift ๐
