Just relax and trust that they know what they are doing. If they ask you to hold skin tight – hold it tight! It hurts less and the waxing is more effective.

You’ll be fine and the results afterwards will be so worth it! Just be sure to follow the aftercare instructions that they give you.

It isn’t that painful… but for your first time I would suggest taking an advil.  Good luck 🙂

Take Ibuprofen one hour before your appointment.

this one will be the worst, it gets better the more you do it. i take motrin before i go to decrease redness & pain (not that it hurts that badly), but i don’t bruise from it. some people do bruise, not as much on your legs but the bikini area, so you may or may not want to try the motrin thing. i exfoliate before so any hairs that are just under the skin come through & are more likely to get removed. don’t get discouraged if you don’t the long lasting results yet, it takes a few cycles of hair growth/waxing before you get the best results. you’ll be fine! it’s not that bad=) if you’re really nervous, they do make topical numbing agents to use before waxing. i’ve never used it for waxing, but when i had laser done, i got numbed first & it made that way more comfortable! good luck!

Personally, I don’t mind the waxing, though it does hurt a little, especially if you go for a full Brazilian, but it’s the ingrown hairs that get me while growing back in.  Some people seem to have no problem with them but for me they’re killer.  My tip is to use that St. Ives apricot scrub exfoliator on the area that got waxed to help prevent the ingrown hairs.
