Wedding is over…I lightened my hair after the wedding jsut to give it a go. I obviously suffer from denial because my roots are HORRIBLE. I’ve been thinking about going back to darker but more like much darker… and maybe cutting some off….help me out! Examples would be great!!
Here’s what I’m at right now:

Here’s me (a good 4 years ago) with much darker hair:

ETA: I don’t need to look younger at 25 (to be 26) with a 32 yr old Darling Husband. Plus at work, I’m struggling to get the men to take me seriously so I think I need some aging.

LOVE the darker hair. It looks much more youthful on you.

@SparkleBee11: Probably should have added I’d like to avoid that hahahahaa I’m 25 going on 26 and always get told how young I look. Plus at work, I could use a little bit of aging on my side.
I was almost thinking something like this:

@jpalm13: I’m gonna have to say I love your hair in that first pic!! I say keep it…..but if you are really looking to change why not add some of the dark low lights thru it but not all over dark?
Maybe like this

@weddingbound: I like being blonde but feel like I’m turning into Jennifer Anniston with the perpetual hair style. Plus- I’m feeling like I look too ‘womanly’ for my chauvinistic pig office. (Yes- I know how stupid that sounds). I’m thinking I could use some sort of power do.

@jpalm13: I know the feeling of wanting a change! I’m sure your stylist will know when going from light to dark your hair is more porous and will grab color and darken easier….or at least that has been my experience. Have you been light for a while? I suggested maybe starting with low lights to get ready for the change b/c going light to dark is a big step. Either way you will be gorgeous!!

@weddingbound: Oh yeah. My hair will suck the dye right up! lol I’ve been a shade of blonde for a few years now. I hesitate on getting lights done because of maintaining it. Oh the agony of switching things up!

@jpalm13: Choices choices….regardles thou you look great either way! I guess I just find myself more partial to your first blond pic b/c there is no way I could get to that color and it look right on me……I guess we always want what we can’t have right
Be sure to update us with your new do pics!

@weddingbound: Will do! I laugh because you love the color and my Darling Husband and Grandma hate it! They preferred wedding day color (about 3 shades darker than it is now):

@jpalm13: Well I tell ya honestly I think you can sport any color and they all look good on you! I love the wedding day color as well……you seriously can’t go wrong! I do think your eyes pop more with the darker color now that I am looking at the pics!

I think the dark brown is much more flattering to your skin tone. If you’re wanting a change in cut, how about a bit shorter?

@BlondeMissMolly: I remember when it was brunette I could get away with no coverup better than the blonde. I can easily chop some. I’ve had it long for the past few years, as well, and my hair grows wicked fast. If I hate it a few inches shorter, they’ll return by Thanksgiving.

@jpalm13: my hair grows super fast too. I love this color, but I don’t think I have the courage to go dark.

I’ll echo wanting a change. I get so tired of my hair so easily! I actually prefer you in the lighter hair, but I’m also thinking an auburn would look gorgeous on you!
