Have you solved the e-ring dilemma?

Of these 3, I voted for #1. However, after viewing the link, please keep in mind that the base metal is brass — even though it’s gold overlay, the overlay is VERY thin in these types of ring and it’ll end up tarnishing quite quickly. Then you get the green finger.

Even though it’s a fun ring, I’d want to get something in sterling to give it a fighting chance (ie, last longer than a few weeks).

@Omgbunnies:  Voted for #3. And an alexandrite ring sounds so cool! They’re the stones that look blue or purple depending on the light, aren’t they?

@Omgbunnies:  Yeah, you want your base to say “sterling silver” and not just silver. It could also be stamped “.925” silver and you’ll be OK, too.

@Omgbunnies:  2 and 3 are sterling sliver, so no brass worries there

I picked Ring 2, but I am biased because it looks like my e-ring.
