alleycat1984:  Did you get your period at the end of your last pack of pills?

Periods are often irregular after discontinuing birth control. It takes your body a while to adjust to the change in hormone levels.

If you have any reason to believe that you may be pregnant you can always do a HPT.

alleycat1984:     From my experience taking Loestrin 21s,  I find it can take a few weeks to restart my cycle after stopping the pills. I talked to my doctor about it the first time I noticed my cycle was really delayed, and she mentioned that most BC pills linger in the body, and that starting to take them again can sometimes kickstart the cycle right away. So far I haven’t figured out a way to predict when my cycle will strike (even with the pill it’s still irregular). If I find a way, I’ll let you know 😉

alleycat1984:  ohhhh yes. It took me 54 days to get my first period off of birth control! keep a pad/tampon with you at all times, it may take a few cycles for you to become “normal” again.

After I went off, I got my next period exactly when I would have had I stayed on the pill…. and they haven’t been regular since. That was in July. It’s been 52 days since my last period. I’ve heard it can take up to a year to become regular. Although I was never regular before I started the pill, so I’m thinking I may never be regular while I’m off it.

That happened to me as well. I was tracking my periods at the time and it ended up being 8 days late. My cycle this month was about the same length, like 31-33 days.
