I’m going on my lunch break to get our marriage license (in our city only one person needs to go you just need to have both peoples identification). It’s really real 🙂

Exciting! And weird! Like you could bring anyone’s ID in. Lol! Hellooo Brad Pitt! In my town, we both had to show up, but didn’t have to provide ID. How about THAT one?!

no ID – that’s really weird. I have to have his DL, his proof of citizenship (Birth Cert or passport) and he has to have signed the application and the same for myself. I also need the first/middle/last names of our parents and their places of birth.

Crap thanks for reminding me we have to do this!!!! We both have to go. I wish the town hall was open on Saturdays. Oh well, will have to do it a morning before work.

lol glad I could help – I have to go between 8:30 and 4:30 monday to friday. Makes it a little difficult when I work 8:30-5:00 M-F but I should be able to get it done over lunch.

as a person living in a foreign country… dumb question, but what does that mean? That you are technically married or that you have proven you can marry, or something else?
Anyway, from a fellow June Bee, congratz!

It means we CAN get married. You have to apply to get married – make sure you’re both legally able to (not already married, of age, not siblings etc…)
We’re getting married in 39 days 😀

Yay! Congrats! We’re going today too! I totally agree with what you said- it makes it seem real!

Now here is the stupid question, how far ahead you have to get your license?
I’m at 6 months mark now, been wondering when should I get it.
i can get mine as soon as 90 days before, I think it varies between municipalities. I’m not sure how far in advance you have to have it.

hmm, let me look it up. Last time I check, it only tell me where are the locations.. but I don’t recall the timeline. Thanks for the tips though. Maybe I will get it at 90 days mark too!

We can’t get ours until 30 days before the wedding, both of us have to be there – with ID, birth certificates or passports and $120, cash only!
The plus side for me is I work in the same building as the county clerk, downside is Fiance doesn’t so he will have to meet me here one day before he goes to work on the other side of town.

Yay!!! We got ours yesterday!
