So many people took pictures on their digital cameras at our wedding and I’m wondering how we would be able to see them all.
Some have posted albums on facebook or emailed me a few pics, but the majority haven’t shown them to us.
Would it be weird if we sent a group email to all of our guests asking them to share their best photos? Is there a website where its really easy for them to upload a bunch of pictures at once? I know emailing pictures takes forever..

You can definitely send out an email. I wrote in everyones thank you cards “please email any wedding pictures to…”.

i would send out an email…otherwise people may procrastinate in putting them up online…

I would send an email to people and either have them email them directly to you and/or set up a shared shutterfly/snapsfish account where people can send the photos and link up to one giant photobook.

Not weird to ask. I decided to hold a photo contest for my upcoming wedding (yay, this Saturday) to encourage guests to share, because I know people get lazy! Plus we aren’t having a professinal so I really, really want people to share. I can’t imagine anyone would think it was an unreasonable request to just ask, they probably just aren’t thinking of it.

At my sister’s wedding, they had people give their cameras to a friend with a laptop during the wedding, and and he uploaded the pictures onto a Flickr account. You could set up a Flickr account and ask people to upload their own pictures there.
