So my bridal party, along with my Future Mother-In-Law and future stepmother-in-law, will be getting ready at a salon the morning of my wedding. I already have it booked, but I’m a bit daunted by the timeline. There are eight of us total, all getting hair and/or makeup done. The salon says we need to be there at 7 am on the morning of the wedding for us to be done at 1 PM.
The ceremony starts at 2 PM.
Finishing at 1 PM, we would head back to my parents’ house (15 minutes from salon), get dressed, and head to the ceremony (15 minutes from parents’ house in the opposite direction). We aren’t doing a first look, but it doesn’t seem like we would be able to make it in time….?
Should I call the salon and ask if we could be finished by noon? Or is this possible?
How did you do it, if you had a salon?

How many stylists do they have? I had probably 10 ladies getting hair done with 5 stylists working on us. We started at 7:30 and were done by 10.

- Wedding: June 2017 - A vineyard
Well there wasn’t 8 of us but I did get hair and makeup at the salon and a few of my sister in laws attending the wedding did choose to get their hair done at the same time as mine. We ended up using a couple different stylists and we had appointments set for pretty much the minute the salon opened. I think I left first but I don’t remember. I just know we all got to the venue a couple hours away maybe an hour or so early. My wedding was set for 1ish so that hour I had at the venue was plenty for me to be ready since I did not have professional photography or anything like that to contend with.

I think it depends on how many stylists you have and how easy or complicated everyones looks are.
I got ready at a salon, there was 5 of us, I had 1 hairdresser, and 2 make up artists, we started at 7 and were done suuuper early, I think at about 10. I think if you have a similar ratio for your party you’ll get done in time.

There will be two stylists – one does hair and makeup and the other one only does hair.
I wish there were more lol

Just have you and your mom and moh get done in the middle. And the girls done last to have their dresses with them. That way you and your mom and moh can leave earlier than 1 and not be rushed getting dressed and the other girls can get dressed at the salon and go directly to the venue if needed.

bibliophilacticbee : Maybe that IS the best option. I thought about that, but it feels so stressful for those last girls.

that seems like a lot of time… I had 9 girls (including myself) who had hair and makeup all done. We had 3 stylists. They started at 7am and by 10:20 everyone was done and I was just getting “touch-ups” done for picture purposes. My ceremony was at 1pm as well and I appreciated the time I had to get dressed and just have fun with the girls instead of rushing to the ceremony.
