I’m planning to get ready in a Plum Pretty Sugar robe! I just think they are so gorgeous! I don’t think my BM’s will be matching… but we are super looking forward to the getting ready photos–my mom is taking them!

I got these button-up sleep shirts from Jcrew for my bridal party: https://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/sleepwear/topsandshirtdresses/PRDOVR~33271/33271.jsp’ defer=’defer

I really liked the idea of robes but couldn’t find anything in my price range that wasn’t a garish color or pattern. The shirts aren’t quite long enough to loung in without fear of flashing the makeup artist, so I’ll probably encourage my BMs to bring a pair of pajama shorts to go underneath.

I think we have the same friends!! We are very matchy and two of my BMs have already asked me if I’m going to get cute getting ready outfits. One of my good friends did the oversized monogramed button ups and I still wear it all the time, especially when I’m travelling or relaxing at home because I love it so much. I would not prefer to have anything that said “bridesmaid” on it, as I can’t see myself ever wearing that again. My work computer doesn’t usually like to let me upload photos :/

cantwaittobeemarried:  I am doing cute bathrobes with their intials on them. I have been giving a cup that says “BRIDESMAID” on it & it’s not special. I’d rather have my name & that’s it. So that’s what I’m doing for my girls.

I don’t understand the ‘you can’t sit with  us”  thing.   Is it from a movie or something ?

cantwaittobeemarried:  I think I’m planning to have myself (bride) in a white silk-ish robe and my bridesmaids in blush robes.  I’m going to try to look for pretty, yet inexpensive ones at Kohl’s/Target or a store like that.

cantwaittobeemarried:  I think the flannel is a great idea. I personally can say for certain that I would lovingly murder my friend if she asked me to wear a matching bridesmaid robe, let alone be photographed in it, so I think a cute flannel button-down is the way to go. As long as you consider it a gift that you give to your friends, and not a costume for them to look good in your photos.

My daughter bought Ralph Lauren mens pink pinstriped shirts.  She got them on super clearance and had a coupon.

This pic was on a photographers website.  It cracks me up with the bride covering the little girls eyes.

My Maid/Matron of Honor is a graphic designer for a company that makes clothing, and she made bride and bridesmaid shirts for us for the bachelorette. They were v neck t shirts but we all wore them for getting ready (it was a last minute seat of the pants decision), except one Bridesmaid or Best Man whose baby puked on it as she was leaving. They were super wide neck openings, we had no problem getting them off.

I bought these sets for my BMs at TJMaxx for $16/ea. no sayings, titles, etc — just rewearable lounge sets!
