I let my bridesmaids wear what they want.  Getting ready matchy outfits are pure photo bate, and I didn’t need those photos.

Ya I think those are kinda gross TBH.  Just their regular clothes is fine, they’ll look more like themselves and be comfortable.

Button up shirts? Easily removed without messing up hair or makeup.

I’m planning on wearing my usual getting ready outfit… Yoga pants and a tank top, only difference is I’ll actually wear a bra since it’s likely someone will take a picture. My gals can follow suit if they like.

I didn’t care but my ladies decided to do button up shirts but different colours and jeans or leggings!

I agree with the button ups idea – men’s style dress shirts work nice for a more formal wedding, but I really like the idea of doing either flannel or chambray

Let everyone do their own thing. If you haven’t done your bachelorette party yet, you could give them something they could use for the day of, if they want to. Example, my SIL’s sister got us all these tank tops that said “Team Bride” for us to have during our weekend out. I ended up wearing mine (and so did one other BM) the day of getting ready because the neckline was wide and I wouldn’t worry about messing up my hair or make up. I now use the top for PJs all the time!

Since you’re getting married in the winter, maybe get all your BMs zippered hoodies. They don’t need your intials or anything. You could get ones with a heart or flower silk screened on them. Those are A) Super comfy B) Easy to remove without messing up hair/make up C) Something useful – at least for me because I always feel cold!

I got my Bridesmaid or Best Man matching Men’s button ups with their initial embroiderd on it and mine was blue.  We all wore our leggings underneath

I would say just let them wear whatever. I’ve always given those robes to Goodwill as soon as the wedding is over, along with pretty much all the other “personalized” bachelorette or wedding day stuff I get (Who’s really going to want to wear “MIMOSAS TO MISSUS 2015 KAREN’S BACHELORETTE!!” rhinestone tank tops forever?). Save that little bit of extra money in your wedding budget and let your ladies dress themselves.

I gave my girls a zip-up Columbia style hoodie! I had their monograms put on, and I have seen a lot of my maids wear them since. (Not just around me, but in pictures on FB and IG) I was happy with them, I know that I would never wear a flannel or robe again…so I went with what I thought would get more use in our lovely Chicago winters!

CDagger19 :  where did you get those?! I love them!

For my bachlorette we had racerback ranks made. They are Harry Potter themed so I knew all of my girls woulg wear them again, and I had them wear just wear it when we were getting ready. 🙂 I don’t have pictures yet of them though! But they were cheaper then the robes and didn’t cost too much.

ahartig :  I found them on etsy! They are awesome, great quality. Mine is light grey (because I will stain white!) says “Bride” on the back collar, and I have our date on my wrist. I tried to make theirs less “I am a bridesmaid this one time to her and I will hate wearing this shirt”, and more of something that they can wear again.

I was scrolling through Pinterest for my winter wedding and I fell in love with this plaid shirt idea.

Its a little different from the classic robes but I think it’s still really cute!
