hello, i was just skimming through the posts looking for ideas on centerpieces and came across your posting.  i immediately thought that i could help you.  I attended a bridal show a few weeks back and was given a free honeymoon for an all inclusive resort with 4 choices.  Which seems great but when i checked airfare for all these destinations it seemed too high for what we are used to…we are timeshare owners and its hard for us to book somehing unless its a really good deal.  But since you were looking at visiting eastern mexico already maybe you would be interested.  The “catch” you have to checkin on a monday or tuesday.  There is a $39.00 per night tax per couple. and minimum of 60 days advance booking notice.  Other than that its a great deal because it includes food, drink, beer, wine, entertainment, beach activities, etc.  the two resorts available in Mexico are viva wyndham azteca, playa del carmen and viva wyndham maya, playa del carmen.  if this seems interesting to you please let me know maybe we can work something out.  I would love to get this voucher to somebody who could use it.  I could send you pics of the voucher and answer any questions.  By the way, this would be the deal of a century…it didn’t cost me anything.

@UpstateCait:  I don’t have any travel deals for you but I just wanted to say yay for Secrets Capri!  I’m going there in early Sept for my honeymoon.  Cannot. Wait. Are you going to do any excursions and day trips or do you plan on lounging at the pool and beach and just relaxing?

I don’t know if you have tried looking at allinclusiveoutlet.com but they had a lot of great deals. We almost booked our honeymoon through them, but a family member gifted us a week at a timeshare instead.

Are you flying out of Albany or the city?  Sometimes you can get better deals flying out of the city instead.

I’ve gotten some good deals on JetBlue vacations before, and it earns you tons of Jet Blue points.  A quick search for a July vacation showed $1200/pp for a few all inclusives.

@UpstateCait:  Remind me before you leave and I’ll PM you my ‘review’.  =)  Check out their facebook page too, lots of pics and stuff posted there.  We will probably book our excursions when we get there.  Looking forward to a mix of laying around drinking on the beach and serious sightseeing.

Just searched my email for deals, and I didn’t find anything that sounds like it would work.  Have you checked CheapCarribean?
