I think putting the info on the wedding website is the right answer.  Also, let your Maid/Matron of Honor and parents know both the website URL and where you’re registered in case anyone asks them.

Despite a previous thread that indicated that many of the Bees do not look at the wedding website, that has not been my experience at all.  My website went “live” in late December.  As of right now, it has been visited 109 times, with 281 page views, and we are only inviting 72 households / 135 people.  We did do STDs, and the website was included on them, but the number of hits on the website tripled after I put the website info on our FB group page.

xstitchgal75:  What did people do before there was the internet? They relied on word of mouth.

If people want to buy you a gift, and they want a suggestion, they will ask someone what you might want/need.

xstitchgal75:  Worrying about how to get people to look at your registry is pretty much the definition of gift-grabby. Saying “I’d rather get no gift than something you picked out on your own” is not “the opposite” of gift-grabby.

If people want to get you a present, they’ll ask you or your family what you could use or if you’re registered. That’s when to tell them.
