I have been planning my wedding for a year and a half. Now it is five days until the big day and I am getting sick with something that seems to be the flu.
What can I do? What do you do if you are sick the day of your wedding?
Anyone experienced this?

Uh oh! Drink lots and lots of fluids, rest as much as you can, and think happy thoughts!
Here’s hoping it’s just stress…

if it were a cold I would say zinc and vitamin C. You might make a preemptive visit to the Doc and see if it is a flu virus, and if they have some antibiotics they can put you on quick.

Drink back some Acai berry juice or something with crazy amounts of Vitamin C.
Echanasia – TAKE IT!
Drink a LOT of water.
Go to bed and stay there for 24 hours.
Have your mom, Bridesmaid or Best Man, friend, anyone direct all calls, questions to them.
Enjoy that you might loose a few pounds 🙂

@SandyThePoet: Antibiotics don’t work on viruses.

If it really is a flu virus, they usually only last 24-48 hours before “recovery” if it is just a cold, then ditto to the zinc, vit C, fluids, lots of sleep. The only other thing I would suggest is a hot bath or sauna to “sweat it out” a little — but remember to stay hydrated!

I’d go see a doctor, just to be sure to do as much as possible to feel better!
I didn’t have the flu wedding day, I had a bad migraine. Luckily the combination of a massage and lots of meds made me feel better by the ceremony. I think all the excitement on the day of does help you forget about your sickness.

this is one of my biggest fears, too! Sorry, hopefully it is just stress! I would see your doctor. If it is the flu, you might be able to get on tamiflu to help it go away quicker. Pump your body with tons of fluids and Vitamin C. I always drink a tablespoon of Sambu-Guard and it seems to make me better much quicker and faster.

If you feel like it is a cold at all, like any sinus/throat symptoms, try gargling with listerine a few times a day. My family swears by this for keeping cold symptoms at bay.

I’d like to add…..go get some HALLS DEFENSE. I swear by them! I keep a bag in my purse.
