I would go with the larger band, only because a wider band is going to be more resistant to torque in a job that involves a lot of work with the hands. Micropave is very pretty, but also very easy to pop stones out of if you twist the band or get it out of round at all.

I love thin thin rings however I have heard that it is not wise to have an engagement ring that is thinner than 2mm or just under. Is there anyway you could cutomise the rings so that the band is 2mm wide? The risk is mainly that the ring will warp… obviously the thinner you go the more likely it will break but if you have it insured and don’t mind it warping a little (not noticable when it’s on your finger) then I would go for the one you prefer.
