Sounds like a fun idea!

How many people are in your wedding party?

I love the idea of a game night, but that’s a huge hobby among my family and friends.

It’s not as personal as a gathering, but a good icebreaker could be to send an email/newsletter to all your attendants with little blurb about each one. You could even ask your attendants to write their "about me" on their own so that their individual style and personality could come through.

I’m sure that you could do it in a fun, original style. The descriptions could be cheesy, silly, dating-game style bios, or you could have them in the style of a resume. It’s been a long weekend and my brain is a little blank, but I’m sure there are more great ideas out there. 🙂

I hope that helps!

i think game nights are a good idea, but if you’re worried about people fitting in your small apartment, you can do fun game things outside of the house, such as bowling or mini golf.

i’m having the same issue because all of my bridesmaids are my college friends and his groomsmen all went to high school with us. the main problem is that the whole wedding party lives out of town, so it’s hard to get everyone together. the only thing i have come up with so far is going to pint night at a local alehouse once everyone is in town for the wedding, but that doesn’t give much "getting to know you" time. i’m curious to see what other people can suggest.

My bridesmaids really dont know each other, so i have been mass emailing them (5) hoping that they will reply all from time to time and realize how much of a great mesh they will be.

Ooh, it might also be fun to encourage them to get to know each other by pairing your maids and grooms off into groups or small teams for whatever you do!

My FH and I have talked about a softball game with our wedding party (5 guys, 5 gals, us, our parents, and our officiant, who’s a family friend). We think it will encourage teamwork and bonding. 🙂
