its been 5 days and I feel like I’m finally starting to get used to wearing my engagement ring all day. At first it was so heavy (relative to nothing) and kinda itchy to wear it because of the diamonds on the sides. I’m finally starting to get to the point where it feels like its part of my hand. However, sometimes I still feel suuuuper conscious of it.
How long did it take for you other bees to get used to wearing your engagement ring all the time?
Here’s a picture of my lovely just because I love it so much and take any excuse to show it off 🙂

LOL at the humble brag. Your e-ring is very nice! Even though I didn’t wear any jewelry besides a watch, adding the e-ring was fine. The only “issue” is sometimes getting distracted by the shininess :).

I experienced some of the same things, some itching and just getting used to the weight. The itching went away after about a week or two, but took about a month or so to really get used to it. Now i never take it off and feel naked without it.

Prior to my engagment i never wore jewerly so it felt very weird at first. It took about two weeks for me to actually forget it was there. When i first got it i never took it off because i was trying to get used to it plus i was scared i might lose it. Now if i take it off it feels really weird and i dont like it being off my finger.

- Wedding: A very pretty church.
Nimmle02: Barely ever wore rings on my left hand (to the extent that my right ring finger is a smaller ring size, because I always wore rings in that hand growing up…) months in and it still feels weird, almost claustrophobic…so I switch it for a few minutes of take it off. I have a plain band, so no scratching

My ring spins to the side a lot because it is pretty top heavy and I have a super dainty band, so that took some getting used to. Now I just kinda automatically fix it when it happens without even thinking about it! But I never had any itching or irritation by the pave. ill admit though I still stare at it and I’ve had it for a year! Lol

Hmmm, I am going from a solitaire to a blingy halo with diamond side stones. I am a bit worried about comfort but beauty is pain 😉
Please post more pics of your beautiful ring!

The entire point of the ring boards is to brag on our rings. Hers is only 5 days old and totally worth bragging about. Give her a break!
Nimmle02: Gorgeous ring! I adore the milgraine detail and tapering diamonds. I second the pp that said to post more pics!

Your ring is so gorgeous and unique!
Bridey77: Yeah I think since seeing as though she’s only had her ring for five days, this isn’t so much of a humblebrag as it is a #firstworldproblem lol.

I Love your ring. I never wore jewelry prior to my ering so i wanted something small. For our 5 year engagement i think i will upgrade to something bigger since I’ve got use to wearing it. Its the only thing i wear and i love it. I love just looking at it cuz it reminds me that i am marrying the man i love.

Nimmle02: Your ring is just beautiful!!!
I used to wear rings all the time (usually just simple bands) but when I met my husband, I stopped wearing them after while, especially after I got pregnant, and by the time I got around to wearing an ering, it took some time again because all of a sudden I had something on my finger again. What took a longer time was to stop gazing at how beautiful my ring is than getting used to wearing it.

I can relate to feeling self conscious about it. I don’t like to draw attention to myself and feel uncomfortable when people notice. I’ve been engaged for almost three weeks. Mine is plain gold solitaire but the metal feels somewhat wide. I’m slowly getting comfortable wearing it and less self conscious about other people noticing. Congrats your ring is beautiful!
