Any tips or chain places across the U.S. that does this? I ordered my dress from overseas and am having a friend’s mother alter it…so I’m wondering how I can get out the wrinkles and “puff up” the extra fabric on my shoulder strap and skirt. Do normal dry cleaners do that?

I would try asking a bridal shop about how they would go about doing this. I think normal dry cleaners are not the best people to ask about a wedding dress unless they specifically say they specialize in wedding dresses!

We put a garment steamer (around $30) on our registry, and a thoughtful cousin of mine got it for the bridal shower so that I would have it and be able to use it for the wedding.

Make sure to use distilled water when using an at-home steamer!
