Shinytoy :  Olaplex #3 (the take home treatment) is meant to be used once a week at a minimum, more if you have very damaged hair. If you’re using it only every 3 months I assume you’re using #1 or #2 as part of salon colouring services?

I’m a hair stylist and engaged! In order to make sure my hair is in amazing shape I’ve been taking biotin supplements to help it grow longer, let my balayage grow out so I can stop coloring it on the regular and I’ve been doing Olaplex treatments every 4-6 weeks. I don’t plan on coloring it until right before my wedding. And I have been getting regular trims and keeping as much heat off of it as I can!

How much biotin do you take?  It really was the thing that finally got my hair long (pre Synthroid).  Now I’m taking 10,000 mcg.

What is your opinion of Keratin Express?

Sam’s Club has good prices on biotin, too.

I think Vitacost is one of the few places Dh has been able to find my beloved fave brand of jasmine green tea.

I use heat protectant spray and leave-in conditioner. As well as a deep conditioning hair mask that I’ve been doing once a week from Moroccanoil. I love it!
