    @Shkragoldfish:  you can see if a local bridal shop will match the price. Most of them in my area do….

    I ended up getting mine for $200 less (or 20% off) the original price because my mom is a great negotiator. With tax and shipping it ended up only being $120 less than the sticker price, but I was just happy to get a deal.

    I ended up getting mine for $600 instead of $770. Plus the $600 did not include tax and the $770 did (would have actually been like $830). All I did was call bridal shops that carried Mori Lee throughout the state and ask how much the dress was. I had one store tell me $600. So I called my shop back and asked if they could beat that quote.

    I got mine for $570 instead of the original price which was $649. I got the discount because my sales lady said she gave discounts to her girls that come in and buy a dress on their first visit.

    I originally saw my dress at one shop for $1299*. I absolutely loved it but couldnt justify the $300 over budget. I kept shopping and found it again at another shop, this time I think the price was $1350 or so. I asked my sales girl about price matching and she said that she could give me 20% off if I bought the sample that day (right size, color, and with the delicate beading and lace still in perfect condition they couldn’t have had it more than a couple days) Sooo I bought it! Before tax it came to a little under $1150, so only $150 over budget wasn’t so bad for such an intricate dress 🙂 Especially since I didn’t have to wait months for it to arrive and allow time for the order to get messed up or anything.

    *All the numbers in this post are approximate, this was 6 months ago so I can’t quite remember specifics!

    @bailey12:

    My Mori Lee cost $190 including tax! It was originally $900. I purchased it at a sample sale.

    Have you tried the dress on in person yet? If you have, I would buy the dress before it’s gone. Dresses get discontinued pretty quickly.

    @Soon_To_Be_Mrs_T:

    tried it on this Saturday and loved it.  however, its $975 and I want to spend $500 or under.  while I am in love with the dress, I know I will be pretty in whatever I wear so its not worth starting married life in debt.

    thus why my current search to find a sample sale near Austin/Houston OR buy a used one from someone… 🙂
