I think it will be unique and different from Kleinfeld, but still interesting and classy. I almost went to Bridals by Lori, but I read the reviews of the business, and they are HORRIBLE! HORROR STORIES of the shop ordering 10 sizes, yes TEN sizes, too big! There was another review where alterations trashed the dress with dirt. My goodness. I’ve seen alterations drama on SYTTD, but the bad reviews were about 50% for Bridals by Lori and I stayed clear of the boutique.

I havent seen the previews (have there been any?) so I am not sure what this post is supposed to imply.

I would be excited to see a new SYTTD though!

@christie.l:

Christie, not sure what you meant by Ghetto (but at least you are keeping it real).   I belive if they do the show in Atlanta it will be the upscale side of the city not small boutiques.

Now, I wonder if they will ever do a  Say Yes to the DRESS: Los Angeles

Hmmm…wonder what part of the previews (Black = Ghetto huh) caused OP to assume the show would be “ghetto”?

People will travel from all over the country (as with Kleinfelds), especially with the salon now being on television. smh…

I think it is neat that the show is branching out to another city 🙂 fun fun!

I think it’s going to be cheesy.  I don’t really know why they’re doing a ripoff of SYTTD, but then again they did it with all the Real Housewives shows too.

I think it’s great to showcase southern brides and more pretty dresses, but it just sems too copy-cat for me.  i only saw a preview, but a gay consultant/fashion director?  Really?  I know SYTTD didn’t invent the concept, but still..

I don’t know that its going to be as great as the original, but I think a new show is always exciting!

However, I definitely think there are some racial implications by saying it will be “ghetto”. Not a fan.

@MindyLou: Oh my gosh that’s crazy! I wonder if they intentionally chose that store because of the poor reviews to create drama. Terrible!

they shouldn’t have a spin off..i don’t think it will work. They have another show that is/was similar-i forget the name of it and what channel (ya..it was that good).  Something about the Stardust in Texas.  The only thing I can think of is a strip club.

I don’t understand why TV exec’s have to ruin a good think with spin-offs.

pfft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think it will be ghetto at all! Perhaps a little too glitzy for my taste and maybe even a little on the tacky side a la Carrie Underwood. I hate TLC now all their “reality” shows are totally and completely scripted! That new cupcake bakery show is the worst!
