I agree with KLP, let this die. She obviously choose words to specifically start drama. I think everyone can agree that the word “Ghetto” is offensive to many racial classes as well as to Atlanta as a whole. You cannot judge an entire city or a bridal salon based on a few select people. It’s insulting and that’s all there is to it.
i don’t get it…atlanta has some serious ritzy neighborhoods and that show always uses rish people, so how would this be any different? i just don’t get it.
@christie.l wow, letting all hang out there, huh? you should probably not step out of your little cocoon anytime soon, lest you be confronted by an educated, middle-class non-white person (they actually do exist!!). beatriz got it half right: this is when keepin it real goes wrong.
anyway, personally i think the show is going to suck hard, the commercials look really low rent, like they are filmed under some harsh fluorescent lighting or something. the associates seem fake, as though they are literally putting on a show. i’ll stick with the original guilty pleasure.
Off topic I know, but the Real Housewives of Orange County are every bit as trashy and classless as the Atlanta ladies. Tamra and Gretchen with their endless embarassing pictures, episodes of getting ‘naked wasted’ and constant catfighting are really no diffrent from Nene and co IMO.
ha! how about a SYTTD of Detroit? only love, D, only love.
Haha! I love how offended people get over something a random person says on the internet. It is way too funny.
