I was thinking about doing these as well, but keep in mind that if there’s any wind at all, like, even a small breeze, these things are going to be all over the place and not cute at all.  🙁

A couple of tips from someone who used to fill party balloon orders regularly:

If you will be using them for more than 24 hours, you may want to purchase a bottle of balloon sealant like Hi-Float. It will significantly reduce the amount of helium that escapes over time so your balloons will still look their best on the second day.

Regarding transportation, be very aware of temperature differences. As they’re larger balloons you probably won’t have as many issues as you might with your average 11″ balloon, but going from a hot to a cold environment or vice versa could still have a negative effect on them. Try and keep the temperature in the transportation vehicles as similar as possible to the temperature of the venue(s). A hot car is your worst enemy.

question – how come you need to rent the helium tank? is it because you have to have them blown up where you are going to use them for transportation reasons?

i was thinking about only doing 3-4 of the giant baloons. do you think its ok to just have the balloon place fill them up and then have someone drive them to the location?

@mudratdetector: Definitely worth it. I’ve seen balloons stay looking perfect for an entire week using that stuff. And it will be very noticeable with your big round ones if they lose enough air to become dull and pucker.

I saw that picture I wanted them for my reception, alas I can’t find an effective way to incorporate them into my centrepieces.. 🙁 I will however have some at the reception at the entrance to the marquee. I like the idea of having them on the dancefloor, but unsure how practical that would be for the relatively small area… Ideas are forming though!

I’m in love with these balloons. I think I want to use them for engagement photos but the helium tank issue is a pain in the butt. Oh and I can’t decide on colors. lol

 Please post pics!  LOVE THEM!
