do you know anyone else who hasn’t gotten a gift yet?  get a few people together and all chip in for one of the big ticket items?

a gift card for the place they registered?  there’s ALWAYS something else they’ll need/want.  maybe they really really really want that $1000 espresso machine nobody bought and plan to buy it with their completion discount.

and i don’t care how well off you are, cash is always a good gift.  cash with a note saying it’s only to be used on the honeymoon or something.

As her BFF….I would go for something really personal. It doesn’t have to be extragavant, it’s the thought that counts

Maybe get the a couple massage or something along those lines? The wedding will likely make them stressed, and it’d be nice to unwind together.

I would go something personal as well. Like maybe toasting champagne flutes that have there name and wedding date on it, or something else you can have personalized.

what about something neat off etsy? they have some really cool signs, “The Smith Family” and under it, “established June 16, 2007” or something similar. I love them, and secretly hope someone buys me one, LOL!

Examples,

this guy..

or this guy..

I like the idea of the couple’s massage!

I was thinking, “What are Kim Kardashian’s guests ever going to buy her that she would even care about???”

I paid for a cleaning service to come in once a week for the whole first month of my BFF’s marriage. She loved it! It took a lot of the pressure off during that adjustment period. The cleaning ladies even threw some quick meals together and left them in the fridge. Three days out of the week noone had to cook just pop it into the oven. She rejoiced!

Along the lines of the sign, one o fmy friends got me a personalized sign with a quote from our first dance song, our names, wedding date and then a spot for a 5×7 picture.  I put a picture of us doing our first dance in it.  It’s from this etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/thesugaredplums?section_id=7360586

Also, when my sister got married I got her and her husband a gift certificate for a custom painting by an artist in my city.  He does a lot of animals and portraits, so they wound up getting a painting of their cat as the main subject and the 2 of them in a frame in the background.  I thought it was kind of a unique gift.
