I believe you give gifts at the rehearsal dinner… at least that’s what I’m doing. I plan on giving my FI’s mom a picture frame… that’s about it. We’re not close to put it as nice as possible.

Often the couple gives both sets  of parents a gift at the rehearsal dinner to thank them for their love and support.

Are you referring to something like a flower given to the mothers at the ceremony?

I always thought the etiquette was that the bride gives to her parents and the groom to his parents.  You can also have both women wear corsages on the wedding day…

I am leaving it up to Fiance if he wants to do something for his mother.

@Alexa586:  Well, you can help your Fiance pick out a gift for her…but I don’t think it’s necessary to give another gift on top of that.  If you really want to, I would say go for it!  I agree with you about the handkerchiefs, lol…too cheesy for my liking.  :-p

@Alexa586:  Lol, I think about 10 years ago I may have liked something like that…but I seem to have lost some of my sappiness over the years.  🙂

But if there’s any time to be a little cheesy, it’s on her little boy’s wedding day!  I find them a little cheesy too, but I know my Future Mother-In-Law will flip her shit so I’m definitely getting her one of those hankies anyway.  Smile

@Alexa586:  Lol, totally not wrong at all!  I get you; of course we have more memories and connections with our own parents.  🙂
