I have three people in my wedding party: a Maid of Honor, a Matron of Honor, and a Man of Honor. I have all of my gifts planned out, except I need one more little thing for my guy friend.
So far each person is getting:
-A necklace (girls)
-A pair of sweatpants with their respective title
-A frame with a picture of us as kids, a picture of us at the wedding, and a handwritten love letter
I was thinking I could get my guy friend a pair of monogrammed cufflinks, but it was recently pointed out to me that they don’t work with all dress shirts. He’s not a typical guy, so things like a Swiss Army knife or booze are out. I’d love any suggestions.
Things about him:
1.) He’s a lawyer
2.) He’s a cross country runner
3.) He loves to dance
4.) We met doing improv in high school
5.) He loves computer games
6.) He’s the guy who will, while not wanting to hurt your feelings, will be brutally honest with you if he thinks it’s important

Maybe a gift basket of running related stuff? Energy gels/bars, athletic socks, giftcard to a computer gaming store (Steam/Origin). Maybe dancing lessons?

I would get him something totally unrelated to the wedding. Gifts that are for your pics or to wear with their wedding outfit are gifts with strings attached.
A gift card to a running store, a gift card to a coffee shop, some great running socks, a set of earbuds that are highly rated for running, iTunes gft card…

Cuff links don’t work with all dress shirts, but if he’s a well dressed man and a lawyer he probably uses them. Like someone else said, a watch. My fiancé is obsessed with that bespoke post box thing and there’s lots of ideas on there. youll think of something!

heylisten: A watch and cufflinks is good. I got my man of honour a custom crystal decanter with matching glasses, he loved it, but he’s a big scotch/whiskey drinker so it was appropriate.

I think sweatpants are fine but do not put their title on them. Trust me, no one is wearing “maid of honor” Pants after the day of your wedding.
For the guy, what about a nice cufflink box monogrammed with his initials? Pottery barn makes them.

weatherbug: I mean, that’s why I went with sweatpants. You wear those around the house, or to sleep in. I’m not getting flowery robes that they’ll never be able to use again.
Thank you for the Pottery Barn tip. I’ll definitely look at that.
