@W292737:  I’m in the same situation – I have a 6 year old daughter & my fiance will be adopting her once we’re married.  We are actually going to included a special part of the ceremony where fiance will present her with a gift.  We have decided on a locket & we will put our picture in one side and her picture in the other.

@W292737:  I think necklaces are perfect. I don’t think they need to be “mother-daughter” themed. Just something pretty, ideally in a wedding colour. The locket’s a lovely idea too. I find girls are easy to buy for in this sort of situation, because even if they’re too young to wear the jewellery regularly now, they can keep it for later on.

So give them the locket at the rehersal dinner.  A pic of you and each daughter.

oh and you glue them down.  My cousin wears the one I gave her every day (pic of her sone and another of her brother, who’s passed, holding his son on the o ther side)
