My fiancée and I decided to give each other gifts the morning of the wedding before getting ready. I bought him a vintage guitar that I know he will totally love. My issue is this: we will be taking photos at places that are special to us, one of them being his favorite guitar store. I would love for the staff there to present it to him so we can capture his reaction on camera.
1) How should I ask them to give it to him?
2) I need a dummy gift that looks expensive but really really isn’t as I’ve already spent a lot of $$$ on this guitar. He knows I ordered him something that came in the mail.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Have them give it to him as a prop and then say “do u like it? It’s yours” or have a tag on it saying from you, and when they hand it to him as a prop, have him read the tag. I wouldn’t get him a dummy gift. I’d just say it was coming later and leave him hanging.

You can get pretty cheap cufflinks on Etsy or Ebay that look nice enough. But it might be a little funny if he thinks his gift is crap (really ugly tie or something) and then gets this awesome gift..
I would go to the store the day of and ask the staff if you could pose with guitars as props and then they bring out the guitar with a huge bow and his name on it.

Haha little late for eBay or etsy as I have six days left, but cuff links might not be a bad idea…
I love the presentation ideas though – awesome!

I definitely think you should wait to give it to him at the guitar shop, leaving him in suspense until then. I don’t think you should give him a dummy gift. I would just say the surprise is still yet to come.

@julies1949: Oh my goodness, some of those guitar cuff links are AWESOME!! Want to see if I can find something like that locally, cuz the theme of our wedding is music!
