I’ve been thinking about a gift to give the priest officiating our wedding (on top of the donation we will be giving)… I thought about something from a Christian bookstore, but how could you POSSIBLY know what a priest has and what he doesn’t?
So I was considering maybe purchasing something from a really cool cause… for example, have you seen those bracelets that women from Africa make to help support themselves? What an awesome way to be able to give back to someone – except our priest is obviously a man and that won’t work. Does anyone have any cool cause ideas? I was thinking about a blanket or something, but I think anything would work!

I like the ’cause’ gift idea. I do this sometimes for Christmas gifts. I don’t know how serious Overstock takes their causes, but they have some really cool things in their ‘WorldMarket’.
Again, I haven’t done any in depth research on how much they contribute, but I feel like I’m helping in some way and it’s a unique way to give gifts 🙂

Thanks! I’ll have to do some research and see how legit this is – I hope it is because I’m sure they have lots of good stuff!

World Vision has a great program where you can purchase animals for a third world family, help to proide clean water, sponsor business loans for women etc etc .
You could do this in his name and I think he would be more honored than having a physical gift.
