We were married in August and a good friend of my Darling Husband and a vague friend of mine offered to photograph our entire wedding for free. He did an amazing job and although we paid all his expenses there was never any question that we would get him a gift. We still haven’t (Emily Post is rolling over in her grave). We’ll be seeing him for the first time since the wedding in a few weeks and there is no way we’re not going to give him a gift then, but we have no clue what to get him.
I know I don’t want to do any photo equipment type things (he already hes all that stuff).
My Darling Husband has been friends with him for ages, but amazingly hes no clue what he really likes (score one for deep guy friendships).
We have a budget of around $75.
Can anyone help? Please!

Since I don’t know him, or what he likes, I would err on the side of a nice card with a gift card. Restaurant? Plain Visa gift card? Personally, I would rather get a gift card than a gift I wouldn’t use.

i know you said nothing photography related but what about a super nice portfolio case that he can use when he takes his sample work to consultations?
you could even have it monogramed with his initials or his photography company name.

If he likes beer, a home brewing kit would be fun!

renwoman: top shelf liquor is usually appreciated (if you know he drinks — being the child of alcoholics, I’d never suggest booze if you’re not sure!)

Thank you for the suggestions. I think we might end up with a gift card (I’ve always tried to do something more personal, but we’re up against a wall and I just want it off the to do list).
