My FI’s cousin is a professional photographer and did our engagement pictures at no cost. Our pictures turned out amazing (can’t upload any yet, sorry) and I want to give her a thank you card and some sort of gift. Should I just put money in there, gift card? How much should I give?? Thanks for the help!!

@FutureMrsMK: I gave the photog that we PAID a $50 gift certificate to B&N because I know she loves it there.
Did the person do it to built their portfolio? I would research the price of E-pics in your area and maybe gift half that amount, probably cash as I hate to have too much money tied up in gift cards when I could use it more in other forms 😉

@FutureMrsMK: What about a giftcard to a local camera shop so that she can get new things for her photography?

@mchitt329: She did not do it to build it her portfolio.. just as a gift to us.
Also she owns the business and is the only photographer if that makes a difference.

@FutureMrsMK: That was so generous of her to do! Do you know what the value of the engagement shoot was? I think $50 or $100 in cash would be fitting. Or a gift card if you KNOW of somewhere she would want to spend it.

I think a gift card to either B&H or adorama (both really amazing camera stores that have online shops) would be an awesome present.
