Does he have a dark sense of humor?  Not everyone finds these funny, but have you ever seen the suicide bunny cartoons or the book All My Friends Are Dead?  They are both so ridiculous, the kind that just make you giggle and say “what??”.  You could say something like “I know you are feeling rough and low, but at least your life isn’t this bad…”

Funny coffee table books are always a good way to make people smile.

That sounds hilarious!

I just wrote about the travelocity gnome… an 8″ one is about $15 on amazon.

sidewalk chalk can be fun

a few weeks back I read a blog post about an electric fly swatter with some crazy Engrish on it – http://frugalportland.com/2012/08/frugal-fun-a-bizarre-gift/

OMG Skymall!! Why didn’t I think of that, they have the funniest stuff.  Also try Uncommon Goods, they have great, weird little items.  I bought my fiance a mustache mirror (from Skymall, I think) that he loved.  It was only $20 and it was his favorite present that Christmas, haha.

I got my fiance the remote control inflatable shark for Christmas, and it was AWESOME!  Especially if you have a dog that’s scared of everything.

Skymall is definitely a good idea!  I got my Texan friends some Armadillo beer-holders from there.  Also the shirts that look like a giant dinosaur and/or shark mouth when you cross your arms.

I bought my brother one time a really funny kit off Amazon to teach your fish to do tricks, like dunk a basketball and play soccer. It comes with an amazing, hilarious DVD.

@iarebridezilla:  The onesie is pretty awesome.  I think that would make anyone laugh pretty hard.  I also kinda love the bear shirts.
