Just curious where you all did you wedding registries? Something other than the typical Macys or Bed, Bath, and Beyond?
Also… how do you include the wedding registry on the invite? Do you? If not, how do you make it available to the guests?

At the bottom of our invites in small lettering I simply put “the couple is registered at so and so”.

We’re registered at BB&B and Kohl’s. We didn’t mention the registries on the invitations, but we did include a “details” card in the invite that has our wedding website on it. The site links out to the registries. It also has the hotel block info and some other things that guests will want to know (where to park, etc.) so I felt like this was the best choice etiquette-wise.

We are registered at home depot and a local mom and pops kitchen store.
I put the info on our wedding website. Its not going on the invitation (or being stuffed in anywhere). I am not sure if it is going in my shower invites since I don’t have anything to do with that.

Word of mouth and wedding website. It’s rude to put it on your invitation because it reads like an invoice. “You’re invited! Now buy me something!” Vs information that they track down/click through only if they’re interested and looking for it. (Shower invites are different because gifts are the whole point).
We registered at Bloomingdales, Crate & Barrel, and a handful of home stuff at Anthropologie. They were popular with guests in that order.

I saw my shower invite and the Maid/Matron of Honor did put it on there, but like PP’s said that seemed normal because that is for gifts.
For the wedding invites, I did not put anything on there.. we do have a details card with our wedding website for info on hotel/directions/ and the registry info is on there if someone wants to look.

We’re registered at Amazon. I can see the problems some people may have with that, so we maybe we should add a physical store as well, but it’s just a small registry for the bridal shower. Otherwise, we probably wouldn’t register at all. We’re just putting it on the wedding website, not the invitations.

felicitah86: we registered at BB&B, Macys, and Crate & Barrel. We had the registries linked on our wedding website, and put the wedding website on a details insert with our invitations.

felicitah86: We used thankful registry.com and freaking loved it. Allowed us to register for things we needed from any kind of store. There was a link on our website, and the website was on our save the date. Putting it anywhere else is considered inappropriate.

yorp127: do you have a picture of the details insert, by any chance?
