    That depends entirely where you are from. In Sweden that is exactly where the registry information goes, but I refused to let that go on ours. I think it’s a no-no in American customs because you’re not supposed to say Please honor us with your present. I heard the information should go on the wedding website, in the invitations to your bridal shower, and by word of mouth through your family. So your mom, bridesmaids, Future Mother-In-Law should all know where you are registered at. Maybe they give you the cards to go in your bridal shower invitations, not the wedding invitations?

    The idea behind the etiquette is that it is rude to imply someone has to give you a gift to come to your wedding- and by putting it on or in the invite- in a way that may be how it is perceived.  (Please note- that is what etiquette says- not necessarily my personal feelings or opinions.)

    Invitation to wedding- etiquette says it is a big no no but it is expected in a shower invite as the purpose is to shower the bride with gifts.
