Okay – how many places will you/are you/did you register at?
And when do younroamly register, how long before the actual wedding date?
I’m more stuck with the "how many" then anything else, the "when" is just so I don’t have to ask again later….lol Here’s my trouble…..
I want to do Macy’s and Target because
A: everyone knows where they are and are comfortable shopping there
B: They are the places where we will find the majority of things we need.
but last night my Mother-In-Law asked if I was going to do Williams Sonoma as well, and honestly I’ve never thought of it and could care less though I know it’s great stuff – I don’t think that my guest list would opt for that option when they could get something from the other two, which could appear a cheaper route for those unfamiliar with W&S, which can be spendy….
BUT on top of that – I wanted to do an online wish list sort of thing that my wedding web site sets up – it gives us the opportunity to put things from misc websites you can’t actually register for, in a list on it’s own page.
I’m highly personal and really want things with our last name on them, the wedding date – things like that and others and using this wish list is a great way to get the word out….
But if I do all these places….that 4! Isn’t that way too many!? Most I see is 2 normally, maybe 3.

I have 4. 1 store for china & a few things, one general retail store, one kitchen store, and home depot since we’re doing a lot of things to our house.

I am also doing 4. The fourth though is Lowe’s and we only have a few things there that my fiance wants, in the way of tools and that sort of thing. Check on Target’s return policy if you register there- I hear it’s tricky- and that is one reason we didn’t register at Target.

I have three–Target, Crate and Barrel and Honeyfund. My fiance and I already live together and have a lot of stuff, but it’s all pretty old and worn down, so we want to replace some things. We registered for a honeymoon because we really don’t have the money to go away after paying for all the wedding expenses.

I only did a couple things at target, and actually, the guest services gal that was working said "i wouldnt register here…"
their new policy is 2 NON receipt returns in 1 year, and they have to be under $20.
I just registered for a couple things we really did need, and it wouldn’t be a problem if we got dups of.
THe other place we did was Bed Bath & Beyond.

Targets retrun policy is only 2 non reciept but the failed to tell you that as long as you have the registry – and it’s an item off the registry, you can return/exchange. We can always use money at Target so even iif it ends up being a in store credit I’d be ok with that. Are you all listing all 3 places on the invites? I was thinking of putting something like "Please visit http://www.blahblahblah.com ( our wedding site there obviously) for registry information" but I’m worried people will be like, eh – I’ll just get them whatever instead of actually looking…. What do you think?

On one of our invitation inserts I put:

On our site we have links to all our registries. I’ve still been flooded with "where are you registered" questions from older people – but it’s been helpful because the people who have been to our site have let other people know where we are registered.
