Hi Everyone, I’m realising how HUGE our wedding is snowballing to be and will probably be posting Loads of questions so apologise to start.
A lovely engagement present of an ornamental cakestand from the Maid/Matron of Honor has lead to Fiance decreeing he dosen’t want a gift list and more “stuff”. We’re not very materialistic but I think we’ll end up with even more random rubbish if we don’t give any guidance (and who doesn’t like unwrapping stuff)
Subsequently my mother has said it is rude (or she feels unncomfortable) for us to request vouchers & I know cash is still a bit taboo. I’m hoping he’ll plan the hineymoon as a suprise so honeymoon experiances are kinda out too.
So I was thinking of asking guests who want to give a gift , we really would just appreciate people travelling to make it, to pick a book they love or think we would. I’ve always wanted a library and this way all our wedding gifts would fit in one book case. Do you think this would work? or will people who know me buy 20 copies of my favourite novel? he’s not a big reader so is it too bridezilla? How did you solve the manly crusade for minimalism
Opinions MUCH appreciated!!!
