(Closed) Gift Rift – do you think this would work?

If guests ask I think books are a great idea but be prepared to give a list or at the very least an author. Maybe have the word spread by your mom/MIL if people ask them. You just have to be prepared for people to still give you the random stuff since books aren’t “traditonal” wedding gifts. 

 

ETA: i just saw that he’s not much of a reader.. maybe not. I think I change my original answer. If he’s not going to enjoy them and other people know that I wouldn’t go that route.

IMO, I think that most people give cash or gift cards anymore.  I would make a small registry somewhere, to make upgrades to what you would like to replace ( like a nicer toaster, better towels, or sheets ) and leave it at that.  I honestly think you will end up with more cash than not.
