Can’t help thinking about my Darling Husband and his two brothers who are 17 & 20 years older than he is. 🤣

I don’t think its a ridiculous question at all, but I do think that a 7 year old can’t be denied toys because of a younger sibling. I think it’s good to check with the parent just in case. You don’t hand a kid a grenade and say “well its up to the parents to make sure they stay safe”. Being considerate and asking them is never silly. With that said, I certainly would hope that they let the older child play with age appropriate toys, and have maybe given him a separate space (ike his bedroom) in order to enjoy something like legos.

I kind of see where the parent is coming from. You don’t want to deny the 7 year old toys they can enjoy, but legos are particularly hazardous because they have a million tiny pieces that end up everywhere, so I see where the concern comes in. There are certaint toys the kid can keep in his room, but legos will creep into all parts of the house.
