    I didn’t vote because I think just $1/person is sufficient (and that wasn’t an option).  I say do what you can afford because the ASPCA is going to be grateful for any donation, no matter the size.

    I agree with Mrs. Spring.  I don’t think $250 would be necessary, unless you want to give that. And just to digress a bit. I would think that a cute card with some adorable puppy on it would stir up more donations for them, than a plastic bracelet.  Just my    $.02.

    I think that whatever your budget allows is sufficient. However, I would not do the bracelets, especially if they encourage your guests to donate themselves. It may be seen as a little tacky, asking your guests to donate to your cause (even though it is a great cause) after they have already bought you a gift.
