I am curious to know how many brides give their Maid/Matron of Honor something extra or different from the rest of the girls. I recently had my bachelorette party and I (the bride) had to pay for everything (spa & lunch). And for my shower, my mother in law and grooms family are doing most of the planning for it as my family is not close and my Maid/Matron of Honor really wanted nothing to do with. It is her first time being a Maid/Matron of Honor, so I understand that things are new for her. I bought the girls clutches from Coach and some smaller beauty items to go along, I am wondering if it rude of me not to get her something different or extra, as I feel she has not gone that extra mile for me.

I actually got every one of my girls something different…I wanted to keep it personal (think Christmas gifts) and things that I knew they wanted/could use aside from the wedding day…

I am giving my cousin something extra. She planned my bachelorette party, so I want to give her something to thank her for that. Other than that, everybody is getting the exact same thing.

I have three bridesmaids and one maid of honor. Two of my bridesmaids are my sisters. Thus far I have gotten everyone the same thing but I probably will do something extra for my Maid/Matron of Honor and bridesmaid that aren’t related to me. My sisters don’t know the first thing about being bridesmaids and I had to get their dress/shoes. My Maid/Matron of Honor is out of state and has already came to visit once before our wedding. And other bridesmaid is helping with my shower as my Maid/Matron of Honor is not able to do those things…so I was thinking about doing a little something extra for the other two ladies.
