I say get something very inexpensive, but that has inside meaning to only the two of you.  I am adding a note to a random item that won’t cost more than $30– but hopefully it’ll remind him that no one knows him better than me. 🙂  If nothing else, a thoughtful note would be lovely and totally appropriate.

It’s so funny… I was going to do something small… and still will.  But, for his birthday a couple months ago I bought him a Digital SLR camera that he REALLY wanted… so I told him that was his wedding present!
Then, recently, there were 2 items that he REALLY wanted off the registry that haven’t been bought yet… get this… he really wanted a new iron and a new vacuum cleaner. (No, I’m not kidding… he was excited about the new gadget aspect of both!).

So, with some Target gift cards, we bought the iron. And then the vacuum was on sale (it’s a Dyson), and we had some Best Buy gift cards and so, I let him get that too… so now he told me that could be his wedding present…

And for me… I’ve been trying to talk him into getting me a second wedding band… we’ll see…
