We are having a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. Our bridal party, parents and grandparents will be there. My fiance and I will be giving everyone thank you cards and gifts at that time, but we haven’t gotten gifts for the grandparents. We are on a budget and trying to keep costs down. Do grandparents typically get gifts at the rehearsal dinner? If not, will they feel left out not having anything to open?

I would give them gifts if the helped financially. If they didn’t, a card is sufficient. You can always promise them a framed picture from the wedding some tme after the wedding. Grandparents tend to treasure such things and you can delay having to pay for it a few months.

I like the picture idea. Maybe buy them a pretty frame with the intention of giving them a picture.

I like the picture idea. It’s something small but sentimental for them.
