So, I was badgered into the $10 Secret Santa pool at work and drew a 48ish male coworker. He’s a nice guy but I don’t know much about him.
If I had drawn a woman, I could have gone with candles, body lotion, chocolates. But I can’t think of a similarly generic gift for a man.
I asked FH and he could only think of beer, or burgers as generic things a guy might like.
Help? Is there a male equivalent to generic gifts? Has your FH ever gotten a Secret Santa gift he liked, and what was it?

You could always do something like an iTunes giftcard or something… maybe a wallet? Or a beer bottle opener?

Hmmm… with a ten dollar price tag that is tricky- how about:
A home baked treat like brownies
A pocket knife/multi tool
A redbox gift card (possibly make this a gift set- 5 dollars for red box, a pack of microwave popcorn, a hersheys bar and a can or two of coke so its a movie night set)
A gas gift card
A fast food gift card
A flashlight key chain type thingy
An itunes gift card
Some yummy candies
Ten dollars in lotto tickets
Small bottle of scotch/liquor
Bottle opener/beer/beer mug

@nikkialys: Look at the link I put up. It’s a multi tool!

Does he have a sports team he likes? My Fiance (and all of the men in my life actually… and me!) loves these freezer mugs. You put them upside down in the freezer and they will keep anything cold without watering it down! Here is the one my Fiance has:

@MissComicBook: that’s a good one! I don’t know his team but I could just take a stab that he likes our city’s football team (or he should, right!)
@nikkialys: A gift card could work, I have seen him eating takeout before 🙂 Lots of good ideas, thanks!
@Nic01: Homemade stuff is usually good but we are having potluck cookies on the same day 🙁
@missmorganista: I know he likes beer, that might work, thanks!

@kerensa: Yep and the best part is they are only like $12-15 in store so you could probably find them online for much cheaper. Or fudge the budget a little, lol.

I agree with others about baked cookies, a redbox gift card, an itunes gift card or even a Target gift card. I used to hate giving gift cards because it seems so impersonal but when you don’t know the person well or they are very particular about things then it’s a for sure way to give them something you know they will use!

How about a cocktail shaker/beer mugs/insulated coffee tumblers/pocket multitool

Target has a bunch of little guy things ready to go in the mens section! Grooming sets, Tool sets, flashlight. A lot of random guy things.
